Sheffield software and website specialist Richlyn Systems is playing a vital role in the growth of a UK business centre provider.
Richlyn has provided tailor-made support for Leeds-based Evans Easyspace since the company was launched in 2000. Evans now has 65 business centres across the UK at locations including Leeds, Wakefield, Dinnington and York. Ten of the centres opened this year - and all of them are supported by Richlyn’s IT solutions.
Evans Easyspace centres offer flexible managed workspace in the form of workshops, office accommodation or ‘virtual offices’ for small and medium-sized enterprises. Richlyn’s website and software packages offer clients a comprehensive range of services.
Richlyn, based in the Blades Enterprise Centre, already provided specialised software for Easyspace’s former parent the Evans Property Group. That software has been further developed to provide an integrated website and property management system for the business centre provider’s specific needs.
“Richlyn designed an extranet which is in effect a virtual business community for our clients, operating on several levels from a single centre to the national network,” said Evans Easyspace finance director Bradley Cooper.
“A company can buy goods and services from a neighbour, or from a supplier on a different site; a client in Yorkshire can do business with a client in Scotland or the Midlands.”
The website, called Evans Easynet, also allows businesses to check invoices online, advertise for staff, access details of public transport services and keep in touch with local and national news.
“We encourage our customers to use the site as their homepage. It adds real value to the services we offer,” said Bradley. “Richlyn have done a fantastic job in designing a site that suits our specific needs – they are fast and flexible in the services they offer.”
Richlyn director Richard Cowley said the success of the technology was partly due to the close working relationship between the two companies. He said: “We understand the demands of the Easyspace business and our software allows them to update and enhance the site themselves as their requirements grow.
“Off-the-shelf software is rarely satisfactory in today’s competitive business world. Custom-made applications allow our clients to be more profitable, efficient and successful.”
Richlyn Systems Ltd, launched in 1983, provides bespoke software systems for clients in a variety of sectors.
The company developed a Property Integrated Management and Accounting System (PIMS), which is regarded as one of the best in the property industry.
Richlyn continues to develop innovative systems - Integrated Stock Control Order Processing and Accounting System (SCOPAC) and Integrated Paint Manufacturing System (IPMS) - are the latest additions to its software portfolio.
In 2003, at the request of its clients, Richlyn launched a website development team to provide quality, data-driven websites to operate with client's data in real time.
Richlyn also creates individual website solutions which provide smaller companies with the opportunity to promote themselves via a corporate website.
Evans Easyspace is the UK’s leading provider of new, high-quality small offices and workshops specifically for the SME market, which are let on fully-flexible, easy-in, easy-out terms.
