Back

SUFC Logo The FRAX ® algorithms give the 10-year probability of fracture for patients, allowing better diagnosis for patients including the elderly and those who may otherwise be at risk.

The FRAX ® website is used worldwide and as such is required to be multi-language. Languages currently supported include English, French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Finnish, Chinese and Japanese.

The Website

FRAX Website Screenshot The requirements for the FRAX ® project include support for large amounts of traffic (over 50,000 users per day) and complete multi-language support. Designed to be highly upgradeable, new languages can be added with little fuss to provide better support for specific countries.

Richlyn provided a new and easy to use design in keeping with the existing FRAX ® literature and logos. Built to work on a large variety of computers, the FRAX ® site correctly renders across a wide range of internet enabled devices.

Using FLASH to provide the FRAX ® tool itself, the FRAX ® website makes use of a variety of technologies including Java.

The FRAX ® project also included the following:-

  • The previous flash enabled navigation menu bar has been changed to an html navigation menu.
  • Charts have been included for all the country models featured on the website.
  • 3 additional languages have been added to the website, Danish, Polish and Russian.
  • The inclusion of a download area for the iphone application.
