Sheffield University - NOGG

The National Osteoporosis Guideline Group (NOGG) was established to address the need to integrate the output from FRAX ® with current clinical management of osteoporosis. Used by the UK medical community, the NOGG website is a crucial resource in the prevention of fracture in patients.

Sheffield University Logo National Osteoporosis Guideline Group (NOGG) was established to address the need to integrate the expression of patient's fracture risk as a 10-year probability (the output from FRAX) with current clinical management of osteoporosis including the need to define thresholds for BMD measurement and treatment.

Richlyn worked with The University of Sheffield to amend the FRAX tool to allow interaction with the new webpages containing the graphs. Users can also view their results on the graph without using the FRAX tool by inputting their results on the NOGG homepage.

Sheffield University Screenshot The University of Sheffield approached Richlyn Systems to create a website which would include a variety of methods to visualise and interpret the results output from the FRAX ® tool.

The main objective of the NOGG website is to advise on the correct procedure and treatment for the elderly or otherwise high risk patients.
